How tall is the BEDSLIDE?
The BEDSLIDE 1000 and CG Pro are 4 1/2″ from the top of the deck to the floor of the truck. The BEDSLIDE 500 is 3 1/2″.
How far does it extend?
You had to ask. Well, roughly 80% depending on the length of the truck. 16″ of the BEDSLIDE must remain in the truck bed to support the extension, but generally, it’s about an 80% extension.
How much weight will it hold?
Weight is a biggie when deciding what model is for you. We offer options up to a whapping 1800 pounds!

What are the Decking Materials?
Decking starts with Plywood than we finish it off with Carpet on the BEDSLIDE 500 and laminated nickle pattern rubberized overlay on the 1000, SR10, and CG Pro.
How much does the BEDSLIDE weigh?
Weight varies depending on your truck-bed length. A BEDSLIDE can be as little as 50lbs. For short boxes, 188 lbs is typical; for long boxes, 216 lbs; and for Contractor Grades long boxes, 335 lbs.

Does the BEDSLIDE come assembled?
Just about. All BEDSLIDES come with assembled frame work and decking. Minor assembly like attaching side rails needs to be done.
How long does it take to install?
If you have the BEDSLIDE unboxed and a prepared work environment, it takes as little as 15 minutes to install. The CG Pro BEDSLIDE has 4 bearings that must be removed to remove the top deck in order to install the lower frame. The CG Pro takes about 30 minutes to install. If you’re not a professional, we recommend that you have one of our B.E.D. locations handle installation. BEDSLIDES are large items to install alone.
Can I install a BEDSLIDE when I have a liner/ mat in the bed?
BEDSLIDE remembers our friends with spray liners and drop ins. For the most part we allow enough room to compensate for them. Just check the application guide. If there’s a problem we’ll have a part number for it. Just keep this in mind, the weight of the BEDSLIDE and cargo MAY damage the plastic liner.
Can the BEDSLIDE be removed easily?
As fast as you can say, “BEDSLIDE Rules”. Plus the removal of 4 bolts and a friend to pick it up and out.
What is the warranty on a BEDSLIDE?
We offer a comprehensive 3-year warranty on the BEDSLIDE 500 an a 5-year on all other BEDSLIDE products.
Will I void the warranty if I permanently mount equipment to the BEDSLIDE?
Watch out for areas where there are moving parts to make the BEDSLIDE function. And be sure to stay under the weight capacity. As long as you don’t modify the design and function, we’ve got you covered.
Where is the serial number located on my BEDSLIDE?
There are 2 serial numbers. One is on the passengers side bottom frame right next to the bearings. The other is located behind the faceplate next to the handle.
I am getting ready to install the CG Pro in my vehicle but cannot get the two frames apart, what do I do?
You’ll need to remove the 4 bottom frame bearings first. Check out the Installation instructions, we added it for your reading pleasure. Or view them here.
My BEDSLIDE is in the closed position and I can’t get it to slide out. What can I do?
Check and see if the handle turns freely and does not bind, if so it’s possible that the cable attached to the latching pin has snapped or come un-done. Using a flat blade screwdriver push the latching pin in and slide the top frame out towards the rear of the truck. Repeat this process until you are able to remove the top frame as per the installation and removal instructions. Replace the latching pin assembly and install the top frame back on the bottom frame.
Can I order a special size?
You sure can. There are only some limitations, though. Max length is 96” and minimum length is 36”. Max width is 48 ¼” and minimum width is 24”. Just give us some extra time and a few extra bucks and we’ll cook you up something custom.
Is it easy to customize the BEDSLIDE?
With the plywood platform, customizing your BEDSLIDE to fit your specific needs is easy. Many people attach custom boxes, racks or dividers maximizing the BEDSLIDE’S use.
Can I drive with the BEDSLIDE in the extended position?
NEVER drive with the BEDSLIDE extended. It’s just not safe driving.
If I buy a BEDSLIDE will I no longer have to unload my truck?
We recommend showing your friends your new BEDSLIDE and asking them to, give it a try. In no time you’ll have your truck unloaded and your friends stoked about how cool you are.
Can I fit a sheet of plywood on a BEDSLIDE?
Not only can you, but it’ll be a heck of a lot easier to unload as well. The standard shortbox and longbox inside dimensions are 48” Wide.
