BedSlide Installation Instructions
Tools Needed
Drill
9/16” drill bit: front pins
1/2” drill bit: rear pin
1/4” drill bit: pilot holes
Felt pen: marking
Hacksaw: shorten pins
Tape measure
Center punch: pre-holes
Hammer
Step 1: Place
Place and center base frame in the truck bed. Place front pins touching the front wall of the pickup bed.
Step 2: Measure
Center the front by measuring the distance between the front pins and the side of the pickup bed.
Step 3: Marking the pins
Using a felt pen, mark the top of the front pins where they hit the front wall of the bed.
Step 4: Drilling the holes
First, drill pilot holes using a smaller bit. Follow by drilling 9/16\x94 holes where the pins will go through the bed. NOTE: Using a hacksaw, it may be necessary to shorten/cut the front pins so they do not hit the cab.
Step 5: Mark rear pin With the front pins through the front holes, center, measure, and mark the rear pin. NOTE: Before drilling, make sure not to drill through the gas tank, wiring, spare tire, ...etc!
Step 6: Drill near pin
First, drill pilot hole. Follow by drilling a 1/2” hole through the floor of the pickup bed. LOOK BEFORE DRILLING!
Step 7: Place the base
Slide front pins into place and drop rear pin into rear hole. OPTIONAL: Rear pin is threaded if you choose to secure the BedSlide with a bolt. The top is now ready to install.
Step 8: Install the platform
Place the top deck by aligning the bearings into the base track bearing notches. Turn the T-handle allowing the deck to fall into the track. Holding the T-handle in the open position, slide the deck forward until it stops, lift the rear over the stops and lower the deck into position. Your BedSlide is now installed!
